Year 1

Welcome to Year 1

Autumn Term 2022

We are a class of 19 children, with two class teachers, Mrs Fossett and Mrs Evans. We have a teaching assistant that help us as well called Mrs Berry.

This term, we are investigating our big question How do we keep our bodies and minds healthy? We are basing our work on This is me! and we have planned the work that we wanted to do and used our characters, Ambitious Anwen, Healthy Hywel, Global Gethin, Creative Cariad and Digi Dec to help us. We will be looking where we live like Global Gethin and talking about our families and drawing portraits of them. We will be learning when our birthdays are and investigating our 5 senses.  We will also be joining in with activities to support our Mental Health like yoga, circle time and mindfulness.  We will be learning in the outdoors whenever we can.

Please make sure that you are signed up for our class Seesaw so that you can follow your child's learning and find out what they do each day.
