Croeso i Dosbarth Derbyn!
Welcome to Reception class!
We are a class of kind and caring children who love to have fun and learn.
We have Mrs Fossett as our class teacher and our teaching assistants are Mrs Thomas, Miss Stacey, Miss Rood and Mrs Lewis and Mrs Howells help to teach us in the afternoons.
Our topics this year are:
Autumn - Time To Celebrate!
We will be looking at lots of different celebrations, including birthdays, carnivals and celebrating who we are.
Spring - Cymru Am Byth
We are going to try and answer the question What makes us Welsh? We decided that we would investigate the Y Ddraig Coch, our Welsh dragon. We will be investigating different dragons and then creating our own!
Summer - Let It Grow.
This term we will be investigating how plants grow and we will be growing our own flowers and plants. Also, we will be looking at life cycles of ourselves and animals to see how we grow. We will be spending lots of our time learning outdoors.
We enjoy learning and spend lots of time indoors and outdoors. We are keen users of Seesaw so make sure you have the Seesaw Family code to see what we are learning every day.
Reminders
Wednesday - P.E. Kits - T-shirt, shorts/tracksuit bottoms and trainers
Wednesday - Forest Schools - wellies and a waterproof coat.
Reading folders on your child’s reading day.
The children are entitled to free school dinners so please check the dinner menu to see what the children can have.
